13:09:03 "If someone wants to take on this role for 30 euros / hour 10 hours a week and they are more valuable for the community than i am, then of course they can have this position. We get a smooth running CCS (for cheaper) and i can contribute in other areas, a win win." https://repo.getmonero.org/monero-project/ccs-proposals/-/merge_requests/348 13:10:10 geonic1 midipoet_ lets start the recruitment drive to find a CCS coordinator 13:14:49 Hey guys, I'm launching a new website. An exchange aggregator focused on privacy. 13:14:55 https://www.reddit.com/r/Monero/comments/y235u6/cryptomorpheus_is_launching_an_instant_exchange/ 13:15:28 https://trocador.app/... (full message at ) 13:19:31 Javascript free is a huge plus point over your competitors 👍️ 13:20:30 Thanks plowsof ❤️ 13:24:30 I have to thank some members of the community that helped me translate it into other languages Hycide raas ceetee🇧🇪 chch3003, plus other cool guys that offered too 13:25:36 Wow, very interesting. So it's mostly a network proxy? Where people using Tor (or clearnet) can have their network connection to exchanges go through you first? 13:26:16 Most instant exchanges block Tor exist nodes now, so using Tor wasn't possible 13:26:24 s/exist/exit/ 13:26:34 * Most instant exchanges block Tor exit nodes now, so using Tor wasn't possible before this 13:29:25 Yes, people using TOR can access it, and process the whole trade there, without having to touch the exchange's website 14:06:58 plowsof apologies, i'm a little lost. this is both 1) a ccs looking for approval and 2) a posting for others to apply to take the role? 14:07:13 http://trocadorfyhlu27aefre5u7zri66gudtzdyelymftvr4yjwcxhfaqsid.onion/ 14:07:13 nice 14:15:16 > <@al800:0wnz.at> http://trocadorfyhlu27aefre5u7zri66gudtzdyelymftvr4yjwcxhfaqsid.onion/ 14:15:16 > nice 14:15:16 Thanks! ❤️ 14:22:10 Morpheus: you should check with tobtoht to see if they think it's a good fit for their exchange, once you finish the API. They need Tor support, and this may be exactly what they're looking for 14:23:09 Ok, cool, what's their website? 14:25:01 Morpheus[m]: You can ask in #feather:monero.social 14:30:32 * Ok, cool 14:50:33 NorrinRaddthis is a FOSS community so: its my CCS idea up for discussion, but someone commented about what they feel the rates should be, so if someone feels they can do a better job for cheaper then , lets find that person 14:57:31 We talked a bit already and what im thinking would be best is 'telling your story' about why you got into crypto / care about privacy and perhaps seek support for writing some type of monero outreach things 'blog posts' and such directed at young people like yourself in similar situations. Personally i don't see the appeal in 'giving you money' to provide services (vpn's / front ends to youtube / emails and such) because we have those 14:57:31 services already, there needs to be a reason why we shld fund specifically you to host them ( other than supporting your hobby -> which is where producing blog posts / telling your story will help you ) 15:00:49 There are people on the internet who will give you money / support your hobbies, but you need to tell your story / build a bit of a following 15:03:44 plowsof thakns for the reply. I don't think it is me whom you've talked to before though 15:04:04 you answered my question. i was confused but i get it now 15:48:47 Is there a Monero i2p node available for me to test connecting to? 15:49:56 pinging selsta for i2p node 15:50:20 rpc or p2p node? 15:51:13 restricted RPC for test connections from cake wallet 15:51:27 don't have one setup for rpc 15:51:55 someone in this channel did some testing with i2p rpc, don't remember the username currently 15:51:59 maybe they read this 15:55:19 I'll just have to spin up my own then and report back :) 16:50:49 plowsof: CCS coordinator is a needed role, imo. Even if just to try and get community discussion around things, so that the community has a say in how the community/network develops. The only issue i personally have is that the whole gitlab integration confuses the fuck out of me. I honestly don't think I could do the role (even though an extra 300 euro a week would be very much welcome). 18:05:05 Elaborate 18:09:18 Can't help with that right now but you can set up a beta site as a hidden service until you have the funds 18:10:42 Its what i did for my shop, by the time I had the vps i knew how to set everything up properly and could start right away 18:12:08 monerosupplies.com 18:26:36 midipoet do you think the role is simple looking at the merge list and saying 'thats alot of merges, let me tell people theres a meeting and show up to talk about them' ? 18:43:03 rayatina: you can host a free site with github pages 18:45:49 sgp: any eta on reviewing wow pr? 18:51:37 plowsof: not at all, I think it's generally required for someone to take the lead of the whole CCS process. Mainly to help Core, idea proposers/devs, and the community work together to improve the ecosystem in a relatively transparent and accountable manner. This means (from my perspective) offering social support (general corralling of people to get involved/stay involved/hit milestones/organise meetings), technical 18:51:37 support (help with the technicalities of creating a CCS for newcomers), and admin (ensuring payouts are correct, maintaining some sort of log/record/reporting system for the community, etc). Would probably take somewhere between 6-12 hours a week, I would of thought. 21:51:13 "I'll just have to spin up my own..." <- http://bhptjyuaknwxl3gzcseu6g32w4cginopxmuapdnb2fsdutrstcsq.b32.i2p 21:51:13 18089 21:51:52 Not mine ^ but working.
