13:43:24 next community meeting on the 28th October https://github.com/monero-project/meta/issues/912 13:46:01 we like the animated videos. are we decided on the initial 2 videos? RandomX and Nodes https://repo.getmonero.org/monero-project/ccs-proposals/-/merge_requests/412 13:47:34 its possible that Nodes could be boring/generic, do we have any script/concept ideas yet to make me excited about Nodes.. theyre just nodes right!?x3nu 13:48:40 hopefully you have one of your own :) 13:54:10 pasting of meeting logs: >huge readability upgrade< rottenwheel has advanced this entire ecosystem by providing suggestions, which i've implemented here https://github.com/plowsof/post-libera-meeting-logs/issues/2#issuecomment-1773770917 15:33:13 running a node isn't niche like tail emission, but for a noobie it is a core concept that is essential to learn and fully understand. I have some visual ideas to help illustrate the idea that the node is a machine that is listening for outgoing transactions and relaying that information to other nodes. There are also more advanced topics that will be explained. for example, we pl 15:33:13 an on succinctly demonstrating the difference between types of nodes (ie a listening/private node vs. a node that only communicates with other nodes vs. public node that can be used by other monero users...port forwarding will be mentioned here). Also, a blurb on what a pruned node is and why this is important for scaling. And lastly suggestions about what hardware is needed (basi 15:33:13 cally use an ssd lol). 17:04:19 Looks like there's been some issues with LN 18:09:59 In the future we should have usb key that store blockchain. and people will have to refuel monero blockchain at an "ATM" or smth like that. You stick your usb in and sync the blockchain fast af. And then you use it with your phone 19:28:17 my brain cant think of any follow up questions to that idea 19:29:09 as long as the USB is type-C ! 20:31:31 always have been 20:40:24 <123bob123:matrix.org> Chain split? 20:43:39 no? 22:58:11 https://matrix.monero.social/_matrix/media/v1/download/matrix.org/NWzcqZPCqCQZCCNAqTsgLxuW 22:58:15 I saw this posted in a BTC maxi group, I mean yeah cbdcs are a nightmare.. 22:58:34 But so people really think that btc is something to oppose it 22:59:35 It just made me giggle, combat a centralized kyc-ed traceable crypto with a defacto centralized traceable xrypto)) 22:59:45 It just made me giggle, combat a centralized kyc-ed traceable crypto with a defacto centralized traceable crypto)) 23:00:17 Sorry if image quality is bad matrix seems to compress, didn't know 23:02:25 Well, it's from a btc maxi group, so low quality is to be expected. 23:05:47 Repost in Monero Offtopic and select the option to upload the full version 23:28:58 Yep but it's the only crypto group in my city sadly (( 23:29:14 Some of the guys are cool with monero and open to it, but mostly they post stuff like this 23:30:53 Sorry didn't know there is such option I'm really began using matrix/element actively only recently 23:31:01 > <@ofrnxmr:monero.social> Repost in Monero Offtopic and select the option to upload the full version 23:31:01 In reply to @ofrnxmr:monero.social 23:31:01 Repost in Monero Offtopic and select the option to upload the full version 23:31:02 Sorry didn't know there is such option I really began using matrix/element actively only recently 23:31:11 And didn't know about the offtopic channel.. 23:31:22 No problemo 23:32:31 Join my space Monero https://matrix.to/#/#monerospace:monero.social 23:33:11 A lot of the rooms are at this link ^ 23:49:00 Thanks but I have my own) I had all these in mine already it seems. But thank you! 23:50:11 Or are there other advantages of a space except to have rooms more compartmentalized? 23:50:28 I think that's it 23:50:40 Much more organized 23:53:04 Except for offtopic* 23:53:20 Ya welcome :D
