If we were a company we would have sued them for damages 09:36:40 Let me check kewbits newsite to compare xD 09:38:24 Lmao 09:38:36 There was another twitter scandal from someone behind mymonero account iirc, something dumb 09:42:04 Their excuse should just be that they generate these top 5's automatically by obtaining the top 5 most trending posts - they looked at the 1st one, didnt check the rest and pushed it - and they have outsourced the twitter account to someone on fiverr who has been replaced now sorry , anyway, back to research and the outstanding bill for 36k the ccs 09:42:04 research fund owes us 09:58:53 Unfortunately, that scenario even sounds a bit plausible 11:08:02 •plowsof> There was another twitter scandal <<>> isn't that the purpose of twitter? 11:22:34 rbrunner7, they may not be too numerous but we're still very finicky on who we chose for the job. Afaik, Veridise and Cypherstack has always been our primary choices, what about Zellic? I'm sorry but I agree with monerobull, we need to communicate this information to Veridise and have an appropriate response. That's outrageous. 11:25:17 I'm not shy to say there are better competitors than Veridise in town 11:25:31 Veridise auditing libs using claude /s 11:39:13 exactomondo. 11:39:23 be patient. it's a German thing... 😂 11:40:22 "we" sounds like a stadium, kitty. check who hit veridise's hotline last and rethink that we. 13:02:53 https://xcancel.com/VeridiseInc/status/1958779949222920626 13:03:53 Oh rbrunner posted it my bad 13:14:39 thx veridise 15:11:26 We need audit of veridse’s audit. 15:15:43 Thats what cypherstack did 15:17:50 we need one more. should we engage veridise into reviewing their audit? 16:02:42 Cat enjoys sitting on papers 16:02:52 Jokes aside, my assumption is they have someone running 'news' which followed the 'news'. It doesn't say anything about the researchers we worked with. 16:12:26 https://xcancel.com/AilliaLink/status/1958614058883850720 16:14:33 While I have opinions on the tweet, yeah, I definitely don't want it to demerit their work nor our relationship 16:18:19 i admit i got heated beyond rational. I don't wanna appear like I blame their researcher whatsoever. It's just the combination of last audit having to be redone + now the tweet that make me very suspicious on there company policy. 16:19:41 tho i stick on the statement that there are other competitors, potentially better in town 16:38:47 <4rkal:monero.social> Cyphergoat is solo mining with ~18 Mh/s from miningrigrentals. Doing our part 🫡 https://x.com/cyphergoatcom/status/1958930728122560591 16:41:37 <4rkal:monero.social> Cyphergoat is solo mining with ~18 Mh/s from miningrigrentals. Doing our part 🫡 https://x.com/cyphergoatcom/status/1958932330862571724 17:06:48 Did you rent from someone who was already mining 🙈 17:10:05 yeah i think the word needs to get out that renting hashrate is like not great 17:10:10 like, like like 17:11:09 it'd be different if renting hashrate meant spinning up new AWS instances, but i don't think you can mine on AWS anymore 17:12:08 but i have no idea. maybe you can 17:13:03 if so, that'd be a good enterprise to counter the lunacy of the current market. some web front, accept payment, backend launches AWS instances with a custom image with p2pool etc 17:14:15 or just create a new pool. AWSrentalpool.com . leave poor p2pool alone 17:15:19 cause right now there's no guarantee that your not renting hashrate straight from qubic 17:15:33 as far as I understand things 17:17:12 unless the hashrate is dormant when you rent it, its probably a bad idea 17:17:20 but how do you verify that? 17:18:08 Miningrigrentals, afaict, has to have the rig "available" and monitors it 17:18:24 basically it'd be neat if anyone had any data on what MRR looked like 6 months ago. 17:18:26 A lot of rentals show their current hashrate 17:18:41 gotcha 17:19:17 because 50 MH/s ..... thats a lot 17:21:56 Lol most of them show 0 live hashrate atm 17:22:04 During qubic marathon they were all mining 17:22:26 <4rkal:monero.social> Pretty sure that ours was showing 0 before we rented it 17:22:36 <4rkal:monero.social> Which I found quite strange at the time… 17:22:47 So these are probably mining qubic until you pay them 0.9ltc to rent them (right now 0.43) 17:23:05 Yeah, looks like most of them are showing 0 today. They were all mining during qubics marathon 17:23:24 like this one? https://www.miningrigrentals.com/rigs/159747/?currency=BTC 17:23:49 This smells like they belong to qubic. all stop mining for 24hrs = difficulty drops. 17:24:54 Yup. Theyre all idle, which is crazy 17:26:32 i wonder how much they've made off of this strategy of selling the cure for the disease they created 17:41:01 selling cigarettes to cure cancer 18:32:08 gingeropolous: https://web.archive.org/web/20250207161250/https://www.miningrigrentals.com/rigs/randomx 18:49:38 hullo 18:50:35 what parts do i need for a dedicated miner? i'm looking into a budget setup 18:51:01 just mobo, cpu, ram, psu and storage? 19:00:51 I think it's time for Dope Wallet to come on the scene 19:39:57 Me too 19:42:04 yea. Cooling perhaps 19:47:14 hrm, https://aws.amazon.com/aup/ . nothing about mining 19:48:01 i have a cpu cooler but idk if i want to put it in a tower 19:48:19 i have a cpu cooler but idk if i want to put it in a tower 19:50:49 the cpu is a ryzen 9 7950x, does anyone here have a good motherboard that is compatible with it and not too expensive? i found one for €77 (MSI PRO A620M-B) 19:55:03 Maybe can take some inspiration from here https://xmrbazaar.com/listing/azXJ/ 19:55:19 this runs a 7900 19:57:06 his mobo has integrated wifi 19:57:12 isn't that a security risk 19:57:29 + what does he need all that storage and ram for 19:58:53 also what does he need all that storage and ram for 20:04:10 Doesnt 20:04:32 exactly 20:05:16 I said "inspiration" beecause you asked about mobo and posted a similar one to the 7900 build at the link 20:06:09 the problem is i have a different cpu i'm looking at and this device has some unnecessary parts 20:06:41 Suoerquantum you absolute 🤡 20:06:54 Superquantum 20:09:20 1. this isn't the channel for it. go over #monero instead 20:09:21 2. a620 chipset can't overclock 20:09:42 you'll need b650 or x670 20:09:51 thanks i'll move to that channel, also i'm looking to undervolt it to increase efficiency 20:10:19 and to make it last longer 20:31:00 Monero Mining 21:18:06 dolus1 don't get the (MSI PRO A620M-B), get the cheapest B650on that asrock sells 21:18:25 the model is..... 21:19:37 B650M-HDV/M.2 AMD AM5 microATX Motherboard 22:36:46 Hey guys... does anyone else think that AI will have an impact on Monero sooner or later? 22:36:47 I've written an article on this topic. I don't think it's something to be overlooked. 22:36:49 https://medium.com/@liberlion/monero-and-artificial-intelligence-opportunity-or-threat-5c71e2d2b3ce 22:37:50 _mmm slop.webm 23:00:22 yum less competition 23:00:53 to less than stellar results 23:02:34 ofrnxmr: where is dopewallet logo? 23:02:37 Its ok. My fcmp testing is the "dope wallet" of audits 23:02:41 I think I'll buy onedopewallet.com 23:02:48 Its in my pocket. Give me 2 secs 23:02:52 since dopewallet.com is taken and being resold for a million dollars 23:02:58 wtf 23:03:29 > Only $424.79/mo. for 24 months 23:04:24 https://matrix.monero.social/_matrix/media/v1/download/monero.social/xjZtcSCQnhbixgEVanvlLjIr 23:05:01 vosto have competition 23:05:27 No competition 23:05:56 if being generois, vost is like a 6/10 compared to this. 23:07:01 [@diego:cypherstack.com](https://matrix.to/#/@diego:cypherstack.com) .org is available 23:08:15 some of my best work 23:09:12 seriously. Those eyes are intense 23:13:50 .orgs have now been restricted on namecheap 23:14:06 probably doesn't like that it says dope 23:14:55 This domain contains restricted phrases and can't be self-registered. Contact support to see if we can register it for you manually. 23:15:09 Haters 23:15:35 "wallet" is probably the triggerword 23:15:47 :P 23:15:58 you're right 23:16:03 I changed to dopewalle and it let me register 23:16:14 didn't go through with it though 23:17:19 what about wallel 23:17:27 or walleI 23:17:33 with a i instead of l 23:39:29 Because it's not a dedicated mining rig. It's a general purpose PC that's tiny, quiet, and looks great in a home office or bedroom, AND is good at mining. If I wanted to make a PC just for mining I'd save a lot by speccing differently and having a big, loud, ugly machine in the basement.
