As I mentioned I now have (by some miraculous resolution of the "idconfig failed exit status 256" action) what, appears to be, a functioning Monero application on my Linux. I have not done the set up yet because I am not sure what level I should set it up in. I consider myself a "<clipped message>

I just need to learn more about   the "running a node", "mining" and system requirements for downloading the blockchain.
