15:29:09 <gingeropolous> these spam callers will call and wait to hear input from your end. once they hear input, they will connect you to whatever scam they are pushing (medicare, car warranty, etc). If you pick up and mute, you never get connected, and if you do that enough, they eventually drop the number from their database (supposedly) because they deem it dead
