The only thing in ARRR's favor is that they still have a 200kb txn size cap, while ZEC essentially removed this restriction after the Sapling upgrade. zkSNARKs don't scale for a few reasons but especially when you have a braindead fee system like ZEC and ARRR, it's just a recipe for disaster.
