fundiswithsifu[mWhat do you think effect of war will be on monero if it prolonged?
-
coxringnothing lol.
-
dartian[m]<fundiswithsifu[m> "What do you think effect of..." <- maybe something. afaik nation states have acquired monero for certain operations but not as a means to subvert sanctions. but Russia seems unlikely to do so, as they have already stockpiled a bunch of other nation's fiat currencies
-
dartian[m]oligarchs also seem less likely to use it imho compared to other citizens with less resources. it's a tool that works for the small guy without the kind of means the wealthiest members of society have access to

monerobull[m]Seth For Privacy: I'm trying to get p2pool running with your tutorial but can't just copy the full docker compose (since it doesn't find the Blockchain info for some reason) so I was following the "already have a node" part. Everything installs fine but p2pool doesn't sync, anything i need to do different when i already have a docker node running on the same machine?
-
monerobull[m]'docker run -d --restart unless-stopped --name="monerod" -p 18080:18080 -p 18089:18089 -v bitmonero:/home/monero sethsimmons/simple-monerod:latest --rpc-restricted-bind-ip=0.0.0.0 --rpc-restricted-bind-port=18089 --public-node --no-igd --enable-dns-blocklist --limit-rate-up=100 --out-peers=20 --in-peers=20 --zmq-pub=tcp://0.0.0.0:18083'
-
monerobull[m]This works
-
monerobull[m]But using the docker-compose it syncs from zero
-
scoobybejesus
-
monerobull[m]alright so Seth's docker run has the location in ' on this site, could that be it?
-
monerobull[m]Lol fuck docker-compose
-
monerobull[m]I googled p2pool docker, found Seth's docker run command on docker hub, instantly works
