<cryptogrampy[m]> "I would highly, highly recommend..." <- I'm really amazed how those HP minis are priced on ebay despite the amount of hardware on those devices. I wonder if there is way I can catch a corporate office selling off their minis. Any ideas?
-
cryptogrampy[m]
I'd probably keep an eye on state/city auction sites
-
cryptogrampy[m]
Might get lucky if you're looking to buy a big batch of them
-
tottles_mcgee[m]
I'll start looking there
-
tottles_mcgee[m]
It would be pretty bad ass to rent out an office space have 20 of these badboys running
-
cryptogrampy[m]
Yeah they're very cool little machines. You see them a lot in hospitals

<cryptogrampy[m]> "I would highly, highly recommend..." <- Completely agree. An Intel/AMD mini PC will be able to handle your network compilations and other network tasks in a binary-compatible format. Go for SBC only if you're mostly interested in sub- 8W idle power consumption.

This project is actually a great candidate for our Solar Mining project.

Does anyone know why my monerod sync has extreme slowdown at the last few percent?
-
merope
Because there are may more transactions per block to verify
-
cryptogrampy[m]
I've noticed this on a couple devices. Using pruned, but nothing else too crazy in the config
-
cryptogrampy[m]
in the last 3-4% of pruned?
-
merope
Pruning only affects the data you save on disk - but you still have to verify the whole blockchain
-
netrik182
do we have an support⊙go email?

<netrik182> "do we have an support⊙g." <- do you need a refund?

Hello, am CEO. Please provide yuor seedphrase for assistants
-

(plz don't)
-
netrik182
no, it's just that I've got some support request coming to translate@ (I have access to that inbox)
-
netrik182
and I wanted to CC support@
-
selsta
cryptogrampy[m]: pruning does not affect sync speed
-
selsta
the last few percent are slower because it misses checkpoints
-
selsta
we usually add new checkpoints with every release but the last release was 4 months ago so syncing the last 4 months will be significantly slower
-
selsta
once we release v0.17.3.2 sync should be quicker again
-
sech1
wait, what about v0.18 release? I don't see a point of another point release to be live for just a few weeks
-
selsta
i want to make a small release to add Ledger Nano S+ support
-
selsta
I'll do the work anyway so it shouldn't matter..

<ian.niculescu> Lex said monero

Mass adoption inbound. Hold onto your butts.

What did Saylor moon say?
-
cryptogrampy[m]
Lex mentions a few different cryptos and the properties they're known for...'doge for memes', 'ada for mini donkeys', 'monero for privacy', . etc and he asks Saylor which one would be 2nd best.
-
cryptogrampy[m]

<cryptogrampy[m]> "saylor doesn't mention monero at..." <- Its in direct competition as its not a shitcoin. I doubt he screws up like he did before saying "maybe you need a monero"
