Tracing transactions on a transparent chain isn't anti-cypherpunk

Now actively putting most resources towards trying to trace xmr would be

i think the battle of encrypted payments/private corps trying to decipher them is very cypherpunk

large private corps will do anything they can to get customer/competitor data and make use of it

i will try and dig it out

i contacted the authors a while ago, but they were pessimistic if it being possible/accepted by the market - mainly as there was so much pressure on more transparent/traceable identity/authorisation systems these days (ie. digital id)

cryptogrampy: Thanks for bringing this up. I think it will be a great extension to our project for the beginning of 2023, since until late 2022 we need to finalize the basic functionality and wrap it up, as promised.
