Will be keeping this pretty simple aesthetically, but will be tightening up some responsiveness stuff so it works well on a small phone / ipad, adding in a basic and ephemeral payment history (clears on refresh) and then will have it ready to present for the next milestone to get some community feedback

Does anyone have strong feelings about having a selector to choose a currency that can be displayed? My initial thought is users will 1. choose whether or not to enable exchange rates as part of their user settings. 2. choose the currency pair (will likely just start with USD and EUR), 3. choose to default the main request amount in $ or M with the exchange currency amount in small font below the large one
-
cryptogrampy[m]
I think it's sort of an essential feature for something like this as I'm building it
-
cryptogrampy[m]
obviously many will choose to not use this feature / not have that API request made

So you say $20.00 USD (~.01 XMR), press request, and on the next screen, it says please pay .01 XMR ($20.00 USD) to 4XXX address
-
plowsof[m]
the 'fiat doesnt exist, 1 xmr = 1xmr people` won't complain because its a javascript web app. I think payment requests in fiat are essential for adoption, 'send me 5$ in monero, thanks'

#3 seems great
-
plowsof[m]
other solutions have the toggle like you say, usd/eur/crypto

we don't need any more money, you made us all rich

Does anyone have a recommended community supported API for this rate conversion? I was going to use Rino's

sech marked his vanity address tool as 'released' just in time!
-
sech1
it was released long time ago, I just updated the release
-
xxfedexx[m]
Hello, I have problems with my wallet
-
xxfedexx[m]
(seed = `gumball tsunami soothe nagged camp cinema uncle tugs randomly velvet itself major inline turnip hotel patio arises attire abrasive podcast both dyslexic alkaline amply abrasive` )
-
xxfedexx[m]
it doesn't show up funds
-
rbrunner
You never should post a seed anywhere.
-
rbrunner
If that's your real seed, anybody is now able to steal your XMR.
-
xxfedexx[m]
Try restoring it and look at the main address XD
-
lberrymage[m]
xxfedexx: I suggest sending all XMR from that address to another one you control ASAP
-
rbrunner
Oh, it's a joke then.
-
xxfedexx[m]
<entry1[m]> "

-
xxfedexx[m]
thank you vanity monero
-
xxfedexx[m]
is there any Vanity Monero with GPU? CPU is slow, GPU would run a lot faster
-
sech1
-
xxfedexx[m]
OH cool
-
xxfedexx[m]
it's new?
-
xxfedexx[m]
thanks sech1
-
xxfedexx[m]
ohh, there are no build instructions for windows . . . and my only machine with a Nvidia GPU has windows
-
sech1
there is a windows release
-
sech1
-
xxfedexx[m]
ops, sorry
-
xxfedexx[m]
i was already trying to compile with windows cmake but it was giving error because of missing CUDA toolkit
-
zounds[m]
could do it in WSL2 and follow those instructions
-
xxfedexx[m]
Ok, it's working
-
xxfedexx[m]
One cool feature would be to tell the estimated time to find a matching address with your keyrate
-
xxfedexx[m]
By the way on my machine it's only about ~4x faster than the CPU one, i expected better results ☹️
-
sech1
What GPU do you have?
-
xxfedexx[m]
<sech1> "What GPU do you have?" <- a laptop 2021 GPU
-
xxfedexx[m]
and a laptop 2020 CPU
-
xxfedexx[m]
CPU is 10th gen intel i7, GPU is MX nvidia GPU
