Is it common for transactions to take a few minutes to prepare? I'm on a laptop with plenty of RAM and 6 CPU cores

The past few transactions I've sent have all taken maybe 1 or 2 minutes before it's ready to confirm and accept my password

When I TX from my mining account (totally software), it's faster

I did hear about more slowness before it sent but not for generating the TX (time between send pressed and confirmation prompt)

There was an unnecessary dns call during tx construction that could take a long time. Feather doesn't have dns enabled so it wasn't affected by the issue.
