the MyMonero/self hosted LWS integration has been super flakey, but it basically never worked before on mobile. The best thing to do is test it out and report bugs, and convey interest in self-hosting. I've been thinking more and more that they should simply release a self-hosted version of the wallet though that has all of the api.monero.com calls completely removed. It's basically a foot gun that can really quickly dox

cake has a lot of other bells and whistles, monerujo is very monero-only, but also supports using hardware wallets

I use both.

I prefer monerujo as a monero wallet, encryption of local data is slightly better (crazypass + any password, not just a pin), you can manually select nodes to connect to and the UI is a bit more "traditional.

Cake on the other hand has a great build in exchange feature and the brand new gift card service, which I couldn't try yet because it is US only.

I think I like Cake Wallet as it can combine BTC and Monero.

Still figuring out how I can import my wallet from Monero-gui.

I use KDE Connect to transfer my clipboard to and from my pc

Never min I'll just connect my phone via usb and dump the seed file on it just to import it in Cake Wallet should do the trick and when its done remove it.

the cake gift cards flow could include an asterisk at the bottom or popup modal saying what info youre transferring to the gift card processor before making the purchase. imo transparency is always best. i recognize youve answered that question many times on reddit.
