<rottenwheel:kernal.eu> B-b-but muh lightning network!
-
m-relay
<aremor:matrix.org> b-b-b-but balancing channels or someone else holding your keys
-
m-relay
<snowman:tetaneutral.net> Lightning network is doing great
-
m-relay
<snowman:tetaneutral.net> It’s helping scale custodial bitcoin. Most people will never hold a single satoshi. This is by design.
-
m-relay
<snowman:tetaneutral.net> Layer 1 blockchains not scale. Monero will likely be overwhelmed with usage in the near future and the Monero community will be scrambling to implement a lightning like layer 2 as node storage space increases too quickly
-
m-relay
<elaryan:hackliberty.org> If we can't hack a good permissionless integration between Bitcoin and Monero then there's nothing to do, imo.
-
m-relay
<aremor:matrix.org> Yeah F bitcoin, it’s not needed in the least
-
m-relay
<elaryan:hackliberty.org> then kiss goodbye liquidity
-
m-relay
<aremor:matrix.org> It’s possible that price could balloon due to less local supply.

m-relay
<jordan_sanchez:matrix.org> The world isn’t priced in $, The World is Priced in ɱ.
-
m-relay
<jordan_sanchez:matrix.org> Monero is the liquidity, & there’s about 19 Million ɱ.
-
m-relay
<jordan_sanchez:matrix.org> You need $150 to buy 1 Monero, not 150ɱ to buy $1.
-
m-relay
<jordan_sanchez:matrix.org> The future is NOW.
-
m-relay
<elaryan:hackliberty.org> A matter of consensus and belief. I believe you, but what about the rest?
-
m-relay
<jordan_sanchez:matrix.org> Every human being is a node, program the node to run your software.
-
m-relay
<jordan_sanchez:matrix.org> Build a network then make the network grow.
-
m-relay
<jordan_sanchez:matrix.org> If everyone in the Monero community took their 10 closest friends/family, & on boarded 1 business we could have global dominance.
-
m-relay
<jordan_sanchez:matrix.org> And that keeps replicating, so on, & so forth.
-
m-relay
<jordan_sanchez:matrix.org> CCS proposal for free dark triad sigmapilling redpill gaslighting courses on how to become Chad, & convince others to accept Monero (REAL).
-
m-relay
<jordan_sanchez:matrix.org> I literally taught my best friend how Hardware Wallets worked for Bitcoin when I was still a noob and the next day he came back and was like bro, Download Cake Wallet, and get Monero.
-
m-relay
<jordan_sanchez:matrix.org> I talked to a guy from Cuba who was trying to download Tor, and he’s now the biggest Kuno Recipient, and is making a Monero Snet.
-
m-relay
<jordan_sanchez:matrix.org> Talking to people works, you’ve just got to build the connection.

m-relay
<gfdshygti53:monero.social> normies just have to deviate from generic mainstream stuff (until monero is mainstream)
-
m-relay
<gfdshygti53:monero.social> Monero is a no brainer, even if you don't need the privacy.
-
m-relay
<gfdshygti53:monero.social> * It's faster
-
m-relay
<gfdshygti53:monero.social> * Fees are nanoscopic

m-relay
<gfdshygti53:monero.social> And people using it for non private reason add decoys for people who need the privacy ;)

m-relay
<liuwengyuan:matrix.org> Binance delisted xmr, will there be any impact?
-
m-relay
<elaryan:hackliberty.org> Yes, the moment it was announced.
-
m-relay
<elaryan:hackliberty.org> Now there is less liquidity.
-
m-relay
-
m-relay
<jordan_sanchez:matrix.org> Huge, if Monero does the same.
-
m-relay
<jordan_sanchez:matrix.org> The ideal situation is Monero, and Bitcoin work together to dispel misconceptions about Crypto at large.
-
m-relay
-
m-relay
<aremor:matrix.org> People that owe me money, I’m asking for it in Monero
-
m-relay
<polar9669:matrix.org> lol

m-relay
<someoneelse495495:matrix.org> sounds good but never gonna happen.
-
m-relay
<someoneelse495495:matrix.org> Bitcoin representative community hates monero and opposite is true, they're never gonna work together.
-
m-relay
<someoneelse495495:matrix.org> debunking fud is cool, but if it's mainly by a monero maximalist it's just gonna end up the with angry redditor type of article, imho.
-
m-relay
<jordan_sanchez:matrix.org> I disagree, I think we can get more diplomatic members of our community to work with more intelligent Bitcoiners.
-
m-relay
<jordan_sanchez:matrix.org> Anyone when put under scrutiny have to realize BTC, BCH, Zcash, and Monero are the top 4 most likely candidates to become mainstream currency.
-
m-relay
<jordan_sanchez:matrix.org> I mean there’s other good projects too but they don’t receive the same traction good, or bad in my honest opinion.
-
m-relay
<jordan_sanchez:matrix.org> We debunk myths all the time, doing it on a definitive blog, or podcast would help simplify the process for people who are new to Crypto, and Monero.

Zcash? Mainstream? Do they still have 20% devtax or not?
-
m-relay
<someoneelse495495:matrix.org> still an israeli honeypot with 20% devtax yeah
-
m-relay
<someoneelse495495:matrix.org> A little too optimistic for me
-
m-relay
<someoneelse495495:matrix.org> But I guess that's the spirit. I would be glad to see such community work

dEBRUYNE
midipoet: Thanks for summarizing. The Grin point seems a bit disingenuous. As far as I know, Grin had considerably worse UI/UX in the sense that users had to manually transfer files to each other in order to make a transaction

dEBRUYNE
That may have improved in the end though
