<shortwavesurfer2009:monero.social> Content creators if you have a podcast/website/etc that can run static ads you should post a listing on XMRBazaar with price and terms fully in XMR
-
m-relay
<shortwavesurfer2009:monero.social> Like "Sponsor MoneroTopia weekly price report (6 months)"
-
m-relay
<hardenedsteel:monero.social> monero.town compared to reddit feels so chaotic
-
m-relay
<shadow06:matrix.org> I'd almost prefer anything to reddit right now
-
m-relay
<shortwavesurfer2009:monero.social> I prefer to use open source whenever possible and so I got rid of my reddit account last year and haven't looked back since.
-
m-relay
<shortwavesurfer2009:monero.social> Lemmy or nothing
-
m-relay
<shortwavesurfer2009:monero.social> It's been a full Reddit replacement for me, and I've been nothing but happy with it.
-
m-relay
<shadow06:matrix.org> Lemmy is alright, but honestly they all suck lol. I've been having some fun with nostr... but I miss tumblr and blogger lol
-
m-relay
<shortwavesurfer2009:monero.social> Nostr is good too, though more twitteresk than i like. Personally, I'm not a person who posts original content much. I like to comment on things other people have posted and messed it on and noster don't work well for that.
-
m-relay
<shortwavesurfer2009:monero.social> Before, I used to spend way too much time on Reddit. And now I spend way too much time on Lemmy.
-
m-relay
<shadow06:matrix.org> Yeah, same. When I post content it's typically long-form too. I miss commenting on people's blogs lol
-
m-relay
<shadow06:matrix.org> I should mess with substack
-
m-relay
<shadow06:matrix.org> oh shit. #offtopic
-
m-relay
<shortwavesurfer2009:monero.social> Hmmm. I was going to post a bounty for anybody who could reverse engineer. Mysu since the source code has been removed, but apparently, bounties is down or broken.
-
plowsof
yep shortwavesurfer2009. Bounties site is frozen awaiting a fix and restart (nothing serious, same issue has happened before)
-
m-relay
<ofrnxmr:monero.social> lmao what
-
m-relay
<ofrnxmr:monero.social> Why not just ask around for the source
-
m-relay
-
m-relay
<plowsof:matrix.org> git.mynero.i2p
-
m-relay
<plowsof:matrix.org> mynero?mysu? where am i
-
m-relay
<plowsof:matrix.org> either way, just ask pokkst first
-
m-relay
<plowsof:matrix.org> unless he's not around 👀
-
m-relay
<321bob321:monero.social> Ita open source isnt it?
-
m-relay
<ofrnxmr:monero.social> Hes around but not around
-
m-relay
<ofrnxmr:monero.social> The repos and websites are all down
-
m-relay
<321bob321:monero.social> Cloudflare time?
-
m-relay
<ofrnxmr:monero.social> The repos were self hosted on tor and i20
-
m-relay
<ofrnxmr:monero.social> Pokkst went on vaca, disabled twit too
-
m-relay
<321bob321:monero.social> Lol
-
m-relay
<321bob321:monero.social> Paranoid
-
m-relay
<ofrnxmr:monero.social> Nah, just tired
-
m-relay
<321bob321:monero.social> Maybe he took his server with him on holiday
-
geonic
so 477 got merged but I’m not seeing it in funding required or work in progress
-
geonic
-
m-relay
<321bob321:monero.social> did they revert there price?
-
m-relay
<ofrnxmr:monero.social> Look at 485
-
m-relay
<ofrnxmr:monero.social> The ccs was broken so didnt show up on funding page, then they changed the rate
-
plowsof
spaces after "done: \n" will most likely fix it. here is binarybarons PR updating rates
repo.getmonero.org/monero-project/ccs-proposals/-/merge_requests/485
-
plowsof
removing those*
-
plowsof
so you can say 'protect yourselves at all times' -> your proposal could be merged at any time and its your own risk to set rates. OR you could say well another proposal merged at the same time had an even lower xmr/eur exchange rate (130 iirc)
-
plowsof
OR you could be like well other people had a pre-warning of 'update rates pls' before merge
-
plowsof
if not for the small error in the proposal, it would already be on funding page
-
m-relay
<ofrnxmr:monero.social> Or you can wait til after meeting and after merge. Yolo
-
m-relay
<ofrnxmr:monero.social> can i redo? My rates are off /s
-
plowsof
if you choose 6 months over 3 then you seem to care less about volatility
-
plowsof
6 month instead of 3 justified here "plowsof Also, we thought that splitting proposals into 3 month segments is mostly done for proposals for continuous projects like dev salaries that are periodically renewed. This will be a one-off thing with a clearly defined scope. So we think it makes sense to request funding for 6 months directly."
-
plowsof
its a one off thing so whats an extra 57 between friends, have a heart people
-
plowsof
-
m-relay
<321bob321:monero.social> time to rob plowsof
-
plowsof
show me some of that journalism and get to the bottom of this
