but the ccs for funding those 2 wallets has proven to be fruitful for the ecosystem. also, they have both added features early (such as backgroud sync), tested and approved (or reported issues). helping us to get them merged into monero core branches

must also mention MySu in the above^ (not ccs funded though). Monero only wallets, that are only accessible via anon networks (tor/i2p) and not in any google/ios app store.. with reproducible open source builds still have an audience. and we have alternative, multicoin even, wallet apps for noobs. no metamask to recommend but there is a web wallet
