<anddn:matrix.org> Is JuedCoin developed by the Monero core team?
-
m-relay
<jeffro256:monero.social> lol no
-
m-relay
<jeffro256:monero.social> tf is juedcoin
-
m-relay
<jeffro256:monero.social> It looks like a code fork of Monero though
-
m-relay
<jeffro256:monero.social> But they ripped out all the licensing
-
m-relay
<anddn:matrix.org> Judecoin claims to be developed by the Monero core team
-
m-relay
<ofrnxmr:xmr.mx> judecoin is a scam then

-

<anddn:matrix.org> Please help report the judecoin repository and let github seal the judecoin repository, thank you
-
m-relay
<ofrnxmr:xmr.mx> Wheres the claim about monero core
-
m-relay
<jeffro256:monero.social> The claim to have invented a new PoW function named RandomJDX
-
m-relay
<jeffro256:monero.social> Their repo still links to tevador's RandomX repo though
-
m-relay
<jeffro256:monero.social> They were too lazy to change it in the code
-
m-relay
<jeffro256:monero.social> They made sure to write a script which scrubbed all mentions of monero in the coee though
-
m-relay
<jeffro256:monero.social> ... almost
-
m-relay
<kayabanerve:monero.social> Lol moneromooo -> mobilecoinmoo was it?
-
m-relay
<kayabanerve:monero.social> Wait, no, mobilecoin wasn't a fork. Who forked monero and had that? 🤔🤔🤔
-
m-relay
<syntheticbird:monero.social> me still waiting for molly to get monero support
-
m-relay
<syntheticbird:monero.social> (will never happen)
-
m-relay
<shortwavesurfer2009:monero.social> I think that would necessitate Molly further breaking away from signal, which I don't think they are trying to do.
-
m-relay
<preland:monero.social> Their repo mentions a “getjudecoin.org” that they don’t own, epic trolling opportunity
-
m-relay
<ofrnxmr:xmr.mx> sed -i "s/monero/judecoin" *

<fiatdemise:matrix.org> I'd like to move forward with getting the 72 XMR from TipXmr for XMRChat. We have a window now where, with those funds, our lead developer Saeed can switch from part time, to full time on XMRChat for a while. That means a lot more progress, fast. Please let me know next steps plowsof .
-
m-relay
<fiatdemise:matrix.org> Should I cut back the XMRChat CCS to the completed milestones and specify requesting just the 72? Should I add a comment to it with my receive address? (same as my X birdpay)
-
m-relay
<ofrnxmr:xmr.mx> Imo no
-
plowsof
fiatdemise what are Saeed's rates
-
plowsof
will be added to the next community meeting agenda, but, not sure of attendance with holidays
-
m-relay
<fiatdemise:matrix.org> His rate used to be .15 xmr/hr, and is currently .12 xmr/hr.
-
m-relay
<fiatdemise:matrix.org> But I don't understand why that matters for awarding funds for delivering what was originally allocated to tipxmr.
-
m-relay
<fiatdemise:matrix.org> When is next community meeting? Should I attend? Considering attendance, I'd be happy to answer any questions to have this decided earlier.
-
m-relay
<plowsof:matrix.org> just curious / asking for something more tangible than "a while"
-
m-relay
<fiatdemise:matrix.org> Who else will decide this? Is there a minimum number of yes votes needed?
-
plowsof
there is no minimum requirement of yes votes, but generally, engagement on the gitlab itself is preferred. we have 2 things for people to decide on: removing funding from tipxmr because it is abandoned (although the devs behind it are active / say theyre encountering technical issues) and putting the funds into a new project, and 2 fund further
-
plowsof
work on it
-
m-relay
<ofrnxmr:xmr.mx> Cant be decided w/o meeting
-
m-relay
<ofrnxmr:xmr.mx> Every ccs goes through at least 1 meeting to he formally presented. Usually 2 meetings if its not a repeat core dev ccs. The first to introduce the proposal, the second for voting after feeback is given
-
m-relay
<ofrnxmr:xmr.mx> When funds are 100% being raised from donors, its more of "vote with your xmr", but for repurposed funds they need a bit more scrutiny since its a small handful of people who have to make sure the original ccs funds are a good fit for the repurpose
-
m-relay
<ofrnxmr:xmr.mx> An example being: we screwed up and paid kewbit 75xmr for broken code
-
m-relay
<fiatdemise:matrix.org> Who introduces the proposal? Do I need to do that? Is the meeting a chat room like this, or do I need to call in?
-
m-relay
<ofrnxmr:xmr.mx> He didnt raise any xmr / the ccs was fundes with 0 donors. So there was no "vote with your xmr"
-
m-relay
<ofrnxmr:xmr.mx> The meeting chat will introduce your proposal
-
plowsof
-
m-relay
<ofrnxmr:xmr.mx> Meeting is by text, in this room
-
m-relay
<fiatdemise:matrix.org> OK, so sounds like no further action is required of me at this time and I just need to wait for the next meeting. That right?
-
m-relay
<ofrnxmr:xmr.mx> The reason i said "imo no", is because while i personally think this could absorb tipxmr, i also think i'd like to see donors

<fiatdemise:matrix.org> Found that meetings are every other Saturday and last one was 12/9. Next is on 23rd, so probably will be cancelled. So then first on 1/6, and then second on 1/20. Saeed will have probably found more fiat work by then. Doesn't make sense for me to cut back on CCS ask anymore. I'll stick with original full ask then.
-
m-relay
<syntheticbird:monero.social> why would it be cancelled on 23rd

<valldrac:matrix.org> We're planing to resume SDK development in January and finish the next milestone by the end of the month. After that, the SDK will be production-ready and go into maintenance. Then, we'll start the actual integration of Monero in Molly
