<raspc:matrix.org> hi. I am trying to mine Monero with GUI wallet at windows. what is the difference between Main and Mini in the Chain option?
-
m-relay
<hbs:matrix.org> To follow up on the presentations I gave at both MoneroKon and EthCC about EVM based atomic swaps, I've created a dedicated Matrix room to host discussions on that very topic:

<ofrnxmr:xmr.mx> How long it takes to get a payment, and the size of the payment
-
m-relay
<ofrnxmr:xmr.mx> Main = much more difficult to mine a share, so you may go weeks (or months) without mining one. Your payments will be larger quantity of smaller payments, since your share percentage will be smaller but main will likely find more blocks while your share in in the payout window.
-
m-relay
<ofrnxmr:xmr.mx> Mini = less time between payments, larger payment but lower quantity.
-
m-relay
<ofrnxmr:xmr.mx> tldr: unless you have a very, very powerful pc, use mini
