would be nice to have the magnet (which is already there) but also the .torrent file

for the magnet to work someone needs to have the .torrent and be exposing it on DHT, which is not always true

given we have the webseed, .torrent + webseed is enough for someone to kickstart the swarm without help

if just .magnet is provided, the swarm is only alive as long as someone has the torrent alive (so they can dl torrent via DHT)

thanks for feedback DataHoarder, so we'd need both "Torrent | Magnet" or something , with the torrent files hosted at downloads.getmonero dor org / gui/torrent if thats not much trouble

<ofrnxmr:xmr.mx> Let's say the CLI version doesn't change, but the GUI version does. Then all you would do would replace the GUI files within the new torrent. The old torrent and the new torrent would both seed the CLi files without issue.
