br-m<kayabanerve:matrix.org> Did the CCS ban translations, or was that monerobounties, or...?
-
br-m<ofrnxmr:xmr.mx> Monerobounties did for sure
-
br-m<ofrnxmr:xmr.mx> > Translation bounties will be closed by staff asap / refused outright.
-
br-m<ofrnxmr:xmr.mx> I think the main issue was finding people to approve the translation work?
-
br-m<plowsof:matrix.org> kayabanerve at the bottom is a section with the translation rules ccs.getmonero.org/what-is-ccs (translate . getmonero has not yet had the translate . monerodevs migrated to it yet)
-
br-m<plowsof:matrix.org> the loophole is that creating video content / running a site / contributing to docs is ok but direct translation of words e.g. x$ per word is not realistic anymore. the CCS was scammed years ago by a few machine translators

br-m<kayabanerve:matrix.org> Thank you!
-
br-m<kayabanerve:matrix.org> I'm just thinking of it as a parallel to submissions which are _primarily_ the result of an LLM.
-
br-m<kayabanerve:matrix.org> (Not to comment on any existing proposals, or any specific candidates, just as LLMs force discussions to be had and this seems analogous)
