binarybaronI'm trying to compile monero (HEAD, master) on mac os and getting this compilation error: /Users/****/Documents/GitHub/monero/src/p2p/p2p_protocol_defs.h:195:7: error: static assertion failed due to requirement 'std::is_pod<boost::uuids::uuid>::value': t_type must be a POD type. KV_SERIALIZE_VAL_POD_AS_BLOB(network_id)

binarybaronCould someone give me a pointer towards what I'm missing here?
-
sech1What is your compiler and boost versions? Is it compiling in C++17 mode?
-
m-relay<jeffro256:monero.social> binarybaron: try compiling with this PR: monero-project/monero #9450
-
m-relay<jeffro256:monero.social> This should fix it
-
binarybaronYup the PR fixes the issue, thank you

Guest18383737Hey! I just watched a video from the nostr event in riga where there was a talk about bitcoin and ecash. Is there any work on something similar with monero as at the foundation? I like the idea of having monero as the core ledger but for crypto payments to really become mainstream the transactions need to be close to instant, and i like the idea

Guest18383737of ecash
-
m-relay<strawberry:monero.social> Guest18383737: IIRC there's a bounty open to make ecash for monero, but I think most people here would be opposed to the idea of developing any sort of bank
-
m-relay<strawberry:monero.social> I don't think ecash is in scope for this room anyway, maybe ask in #monero
