<woodser:monero.social> is the v0.18.4.0 looking stable and final? going to build new release binaries if so
-
selsta
woodser: so far no issue reports with v0.18.4.0
-
m-relay
<woodser:monero.social> ok thanks
-
selsta
tobtoht_: my issue was that i updated to cmake 4.0 without deleting the cmake cache, setting it to 3.10 is not necessary
-
tobtoht_
selsta: ty, was about to comment that macos ci passes with cmake 4.0

<monero.arbo:matrix.org> 0.18.4.0 is looking good for me but I'm curious if anyone has tried syncing from scratch with it, since I and I guess most of us just upgraded our already synced node
-
m-relay
<syntheticbird:monero.social> no no, syncing from scratch is part of the release todo list and I've seen at least 3 people here reporting successful sync with 18.4.0
-
m-relay
<monero.arbo:matrix.org> ok ok cool.... does anyone test Windows? :3
-
m-relay
<syntheticbird:monero.social> I should maybe setup a windows server at some point
-
ofrnxmr
yea, ive synced 1840 like.. 40x
-
ofrnxmr
Not on windows ofc
-
m-relay
<syntheticbird:monero.social> ofc
-
m-relay
<monero.arbo:matrix.org> I'll spin it up on Windows --- lots of GUI users use Windows and iirc it's the same monerod binary that ships with both
-
m-relay
<syntheticbird:monero.social> windows may not be important but FreeBSD and Solaris are 👍️👍️👍️
-
m-relay
<monero.arbo:matrix.org> lol just noticed we still build 32 bit Windows binaries wtheck

<syntheticbird:monero.social> Statement dreamed up by the utterly deranged
-
m-relay
<monero.arbo:matrix.org> TIL Windows 10 has a 32 bit version.,..
-
m-relay
<syntheticbird:monero.social> yeah since windows 8 was a fiasco they decided to push win10 on 32bit system for transitioning from win7
-
m-relay
<tobtoht:monero.social> support was dropped from master. they'll be gone when we branch.
-
m-relay
<tobtoht:monero.social> we also removed support for 32-bit android (only for release builds, not depends).
-
m-relay
<tobtoht:monero.social> and we can probably drop 32-bit linux and intel macos in a couple years.
-
m-relay
<tobtoht:monero.social> armv7 linux once raspberry pi defaults to 64-bit OS maybe
