(there is no difference between account or subaddress, it's just a logical way to organize them but they all get generated from same view key

It'd be equally fast, if done at the same time. Nothing stopping it from doing that (I "sync" many wallets at once for blocks.p2pool.observer, but I filter off anything but coinbase txs, though it's still relatively "fast" specially after view tags

I don't think this is that supported except in a couple of projects?

<m​onero.arbo:matrix.org> hmm, yes, I guess I mean "separate wallets" in the sense of standard user wallets like the GUI or feather. They don't share a cache for data downloaded from the node, so effectively you have to download all the sync data twice
