mmx0x7[m]Phew...hoping someone can assist, I did refresh OS on my Linux machine (not full upgrade...) and immediately upon doing that, I am not able to access my funds on the GUI wallet. Password is not accepted, but I know for a fact that is not the issue (copying from a read-only PW database), since my password is not accepted, restoring from my keys file is also not working, any ideas?
-
mmx0x7[m]One other detail, I created this wallet and access it with a Trezor via the official Monero GUI.
-
moneromoooI don't suppose you might have changed keyboard mapping in that OS update ?
-
moneromoooIf not, try with monero-wallet-cli.
-
mmx0x7[m]I suppose it is possible...not sure how though
-
mmx0x7[m]With the cli, would I be able to use my .keys file?
-
moneromoooYes. It can load the same file as the GUI.
-
mmx0x7[m]Awesome, thank you. Assuming that works, I noticed the official GUI app is available for the Ubuntu repository, would I want to remove the existing GUI software from my machine, add it to my repository then create a new wallet keys to be able to continue using the GUI wallet? Sorry...not very technical.

moneromoooAs long as it's not some trojan, use the latest version you see. I think latest is 0.17.2.0 or 0.17.3.0.

mmx0x7[m]Cool, thanks mate.
