So when I go on ublock origin it says theres 553,000 blocked ads/trackers, is ublock origin actually logging anything anywhere

how would it keep track that theres 553,000 blocked trackers/ads if theres no logging?

it might be logging it locally in your browser

F12, Network. Or, open the ublock origin log. If the tooltips show up below the window (as it does for me), second icon from the right at the bottom.

Looking at the few icons would have got you a solution a lot qiucker than asking fwiw.
