"monero GUI is not responding"

getting "force quit" or "wait" options. ubuntu 22. top shows that monero-wallet-gui has 200% CPU

and then i got a "node will start in 10 seconds thing"

and now its connecting

i guess that initialization state of monerod just throws the GUI for a loop?

and when i hit start mining, looks like the daemon disconnected, but then the node and miner started

yes... restart monerod with --zmq-pub=tcp://127.0.0.1:18083 - devhypers PR #3936 we've been helping with will significantly improve the behaviour (e.g. not restarting and mining immediately if zmq flags are present already)

cpu usage on ubuntu for me uses 3 cores~ on startup, where as syncing a wallet is only using 0.2. maybe low on ram?

there might be a chain of command thing im unaware of, but wouldnt it be better for updates to be pushed via a monero repo?

i dont know the flow of a flathub build when from the flathub repo or a separate project repo.

naw, its 64 GB ram. and i've done memtests on this thing. perhaps the CPU is borked? the laptop is only 7 years old
