QuickBASICSuggestions for a low power device to buy to use as a node/P2Pool server in home? (My VPS was costing too much). I know of the rock-thingy and know RaspberryPi doesn't have the right instruction set to do it efficiently.
-
hycrockpro64 still seems best to me\
-
hycalthough you might like these cheap TVboxes
-
QuickBASICCool ty hyc. I'll look into it. Have you been using one yourself?
-

-
hycmy node+p2pool are currently on a rockpro64, yeah
-
hycI'm looking at buying this H96 Max to replace my current Beelink GT-King
-
hyc8GB RAM would make it useful as a node too
-
QuickBASICCan you run Linux native on that thing or stuck running stuff on top of Android?
-
hycI'm guessing there are 3rd party linux images available but haven't checked
-
hycI have a coreelec booting off SDcard for my Beelink
-
hycbut usually I just use the android image. It supports sleep mode, and the coreelec kernel doesn't seem to
-
hyca lot of these ARM chips are supported in mainline linux now tho
-
QuickBASICAh. Android 13 has added a hypervisor KVM so I'm holding out for smart people to make it easier do and I might just run it in my old Pixel 4.

QuickBASICofrnxmr[m] I don't trust termux for anything important because Android has had a bad habit of killing it on my phones.
-
ofrnxmr[m]Using latest monerod on a 2.7gb device, I havent had android kill it (android 12)
-

-
ofrnxmr[m]This may help as well
-
ofrnxmr[m]But I have had 0 downtime at all on android 7.1 with 2.7gb ram or android 10 with 6gb ram.
-
ofrnxmr[m]android 12 with 2.7gb would get killed every 3-4 days on v0.17.3, but using the above ^^^ in v0.18.0.0+, no downtime.
