m-relay<charutocafe:matrix.org> i'm a bit out of the loop with the whole thing, but wasn't RandomX supposed to be a last effort to have a ASIC resistant PoW? i think i recall people saying things among the lines of "if this does not work, we'll probably just embrace asic mining, we can't/shouldn't play cat and mouse forever" back when RandomX was introduced, has this sentiment changed since?

m-relay<edge7:matrix.org> My understanding that bitminer has not released any asic. It is just a set of risc cpus. The main benefit is that everything is packed so there is less to manage but it's not an asic

m-relay<charutocafe:matrix.org> oh, how can bitmain outcompete AMD, intel, Qualcomm and other CPU manufacturers?
-
m-relay<edge7:matrix.org> It cannot indeed
