my solar panels are online now. 4.35kW capacity, got peak output of 3kW today with partly cloudy skies

5kWh battery charged up to full in a couple hours, excess power dumped into my water heater for a while, now I'm sending 1kW back to the grid for 24c/kWh

I guess it's time to shop for a rig with a 1kW power budget ;)

though I think selling power back to the grid for 24c/kWh is more than I'd earn from mining. ?

1 kWh can mine you 15c worth of XMR right now at current difficulty and price, even if you have 150 h/s/W rig

huh, at current price and difficulty, just divide rig efficiency by 10 and you'll get how many cents per kWh you can mine 150/10 = 15

Was thinking if you went down the Epyc 7T12 option route - that'd be near enough to 100kh/s ... whacked into the XvB raffle you could stand to land a fair bit of hashrate which might peak you over the 24c/kWh point

its a gamble, but heck on average one win of the raffle is getting me between 0.01 XMR and 0.1 XMR

I reckon with some tuning, you could get around 80kh/s for ~ 600Wh

then you'd just need another 20kh/s rig to get into the 100kh/s whale round - a 1 in 7 chance of winning (currently), along with the vip, donor and donor_vip rounds
