moneromoooThe one thing I had throught about was to make it computationally hard to recover info. Ideally, this means it'd be possible to pierce anonymity, but it'd be impossible to do it at scale.
-
moneromoooTherefore, they'd do it only for those cases where the payout is big, and leave the rest of us alone.
-
moneromoooUnfortunately, this is inherently impossible to tune. Also, knowing govts, they'd take this as an excuse to increase taxes to be able to crack more of it.
-
moneromoooAlso, such a scheme would have to stay hard even when info is known, to avoid cracking case N being easier than N-1 etc.
-
moneromoooAnd since all laws created to be used against terrorists invariably end up being used against low level stuff, they've shown be totally untrustworthy to even be given this ability without abusing it.

IngeIs it feasible in Monero to have pre-prepared transactions that can be submitted at some future point in time?
-
moneromoooYes.
-
IngeI'm guessing it has SOME level of possible timing leakage in the decoy and fee selections
-
moneromoooIf you wait for a long time though, you'll get biased fake outs, which means someone can tell you probably waited to submit it.
-
IngeAlso it would likely need to be re-generated after a hard-fork e.g. new decoy requirements etc
