Yes. More nodes make the network stronger.

Using it means using a node though.

If you're using someone else's, you're setting yourself up to be scammed at some point. It's like using someone else's dildo. They may claim it's been thoroughly cleaned, but I wouldn't do it.

And I use that image because it's more likely to be remembered. Using a stranger's node is less safe than using your own.

The node's job is to verify the chain. If you don't verify, or take someone else's word they verified, you abdicate your own agency,

So it's up to you. Like it's up to you whether to use a seatbelt in a car or a parachute when jumping off a plane.

Is Monero immune against ISP blocking mesh networking?

I mean, is a monero node obvious to detect?

someoneelse495495: AFAIK, if on clearnet yes since nodes are usually on the default port and there is no attempt to obscure traffic. vtnerd is working on ways to conceal the traffic "signature" I think.

I think work on p2p encryption is currently paused.
