Hi, I've been exploring some rust crates of bulletproofs and randomx. And they all use Ristretto curves. Some benchmarks claim to be 7.30x faster than Monero impl. Is there any reason we choose to use ed25519? Is it even possible to switch of curve?

Nevermind, Ristretto was published in 2015. But is there still a way to switch of elliptic curve in a far-future hard-fork?
