so the actual reason for closing the seraphis general paper review repo.getmonero.org/monero-project/ccs-proposals/-/merge_requests/441 ... only merge for "morbid curiosity" if the project has the funds to spare. having those papers reviewed is not required as kayabanerves direction does not require them at all?

<k​ayabanerve:monero.social> I will propose contracting CS at the next MRL per the oversight process in the earmarked fund FWIW. Not only does the Seraphis protocol paper not need review under FCMP++, we have a distinct immediate contract (so even if we had the money, I'd say we don't have the time in our mutual schedule).

<k​ayabanerve:monero.social> The week after we will have a collection of quotes on a distinct task and I'll present them and the endorsed one, which again will need MRL to agree reasonable.

<k​ayabanerve:monero.social> Then two quotes may materialize as endorsed as well in that time frame (so currently looking at up to 4 expenditures in 2 meetings over 3 tasks).
