m-relay<rbrunner7:monero.social> I don't see any real need to change the name of "MoneroMixer", just a need to make very clear that the name is self-deprecating / "self-ironic" and does not mean that Monero isn't private without using it, and isn't something related to crime in any way.
-
m-relay<rbrunner7:monero.social> Like that "Don't buy Monero" sticker. Some people seem to really hate it, I however like it - just the right dose of reverse psychology :) github.com/monero-ecosystem/dont-buy-monero-sticker
-
m-relay<rbrunner7:monero.social> Sorry, off-topic, now back to research ...
-
m-relay<gingeropolous:monero.social> .... the name is self-deprecating / "self-ironic" <<< that'll get lost on most people that don't really follow monero. Everyone will think they need to mix their monero prolly.
-
m-relay<gingeropolous:monero.social> is there a github issue somehwhere thats tracking the proofs and audit status of these new things?
-
m-relay<rbrunner7:monero.social> I only know this, from kaya, posted 2 days ago: repo.getmonero.org/monero-project/c…als/-/merge_requests/449#note_26540
-
m-relay<rbrunner7:monero.social> *MoneroChurner* as an alternative to *MoneroMixer*? Many people that "don't really follow Monero" will probably ignore it under that name because they don't know what "churning" means, and they can mostly afford to, while people with increased security needs will know and use it

m-relay<gingeropolous:monero.social> i like the tongue in cheek "butter" idea. Monero Butter Maker. regarding status of fcmp and carrot, i was curious if anyone has put together something like back when randomx was developed and audited. i remember tables and checklists
-
m-relay<kayabanerve:matrix.org> gingeropolous rbrunner7 That entire issue is the tracking issue. It's not always and immediately kept up to date though (which can be argued my bad). The most recent post catalogued every item, along with the MRL meeting its authority was derived from, to ensure it's clear and up to date.
-
sneurlax@gingeropolous:monero.social: I like monero-project/monero #9440 as an FCMP-tracking overview PR, tho this doesn't track research topics.
-
m-relay<kayabanerve:matrix.org> sneurlax: why not monero-project/monero #9436
-
sneurlaxthat is more informative for sure.
-
m-relay<kayabanerve:matrix.org> So why isn't it your preference 😭
-
m-relay<kayabanerve:matrix.org> *9440 does define itself as done for 9436, despite being created later, and does have a nice flowchart
-
m-relay<kayabanerve:matrix.org> I'm not saying you're wrong for your mentioning of 9440, I'm just unsure why you mentioned it over 9336
-
sneurlaxit is no longer my preference :D it was just cached in RAM from having read thru it over the past few days
-
sneurlaxI did not mention it over 9336
-
sneurlaxit was just more recent in my mind :)
-
m-relay<kayabanerve:matrix.org> ah, got it
-
m-relay<kayabanerve:matrix.org> I was wondering if I was missing something :p
-
m-relay<tobtoht:monero.social> yeah, #9440 is only about changes to the build system for FCMP++. I put it before #9436 in that graph because we can't ship rust code without it and because it includes release-grade CI, which we would want to have pass for #9436 before merging it.
