m-relay<antilt:we2.ee> I agree with what has been said by sech1 and Rucknium (dynamic, self-repair): a static snapshot of a complex, time-variant system (especially its resiliency to external shock) is a necessary first step, but has little predictive power. The researchers seem to be intuitively aware of this.

m-relay<antilt:we2.ee> Complex networks strike a balance: efficiency (centralization, tx/sec., peacetime) vs. resiliency (decentralization, slower, wartime). They tend to adopt to environmental stress by gravitating towards resiliency - we have seen this happen with Monero (stressnet, peer selection research, fcmp++, etc.)

m-relay<jberman:monero.social> Would be good for the monero twitter account to announce the FCMP++ optimization contest is now open for submissions (assuming whoever is behind the account is following this channel)

midipoetthey are excited to announce...
