br-m<321bob321> do you reckon if a node hasnt got a ban list enabled that would finger print it as a spy node?
-
br-m<kiersten5821:matrix.org> i dont run banlists
-
br-m<kiersten5821:matrix.org> if it's not on by default 99% of users wont use it
-
br-m<boog900> @kiersten5821:matrix.org: silly reason not to use it ngl, it'll provide some protection for txs you send/relay in the stem state no matter if others use it or not
-
br-m<boog900> also about 55% are running with the ban list
-
br-m<ofrnxmr:xmr.mx> 1781/5413 nodes w/o a banlist
-
br-m<boog900> That counts the spies
-
br-m<sbt:nope.chat> @ofrnxmr:xmr.mx: Where is this documented?
-
br-m<boog900> Hover over the graph on moneronet.info
-
br-m<ofrnxmr:xmr.mx> i was about to say
-
br-m<ofrnxmr:xmr.mx> I need to filter out the spys
-
br-m<ofrnxmr:xmr.mx> 16/3120 w/o banlist? Am i reading thia right
-
br-m<ofrnxmr:xmr.mx> Moneronet.info
-
br-m<ofrnxmr:xmr.mx> @boog900: Bottom list can be filtered
-
br-m<boog900> @ofrnxmr:xmr.mx: Ah wow
-
br-m<boog900> Its even better than I thought
-
br-m<boog900> Unless that is an error as the second graph says only 55% of honest nodes have the ban list enabled
-
niochow can it be 16 of 3120 not running the ban list when it is something that people have to enable?
-
br-m<kiersten5821:matrix.org> it's clearly wrong
-
br-m<boog900> The 55% is probably the accurate figure
-
br-m<boog900> And most of that is from the DNS banlist update
-
br-m<boog900> Before it was around 5 to 10 %
