note I also expose the edwards25519 operations as pkg.go.dev/git.gammaspectra.live/P2…/v5⊙v0/monero/crypto/curve25519 with generic arguments for constant time or variable time implementations if you'd like to use that

for example on xns/address.go ProtocolViewPublicKey you could also use the direct decode+checker instead of writing it yourself out. also seems to be an interface that could just use the Address methods on consensus given you use it already.

moneroHashToEC is also implemented on my consensus code, if you'd like to cleanup that moneroHashToEC is a Go port of the map used by Monero's crypto::hash_to_ec and verified against monero tests

you also don't seem to be verifying that curve points are torsion-free, aka that they are contained in the prime-order subgroup

this will be enforced in the next upgrade but on some areas like tx pubkeys that can be the case today that they are bogus
