<321bob321:monero.social> yeah i saw xmrscott talking about this week
-
m-relay
<321bob321:monero.social> you can create a proposal, but probably need proof of concept and it needs to be able to work with nojs
-
m-relay
<syntheticbird:monero.social> Proof of Concept already exist its his vercel link. And despite being written with a JS framework (Astro), it actually fully build into static html/css
-
m-relay
<syntheticbird:monero.social> I also thought it was javascript built site but Astro ship no js by default and so does his site
-
m-relay
<chch3003:monero.social> Yes we talked about this extensively already. Astro is no-js by default yes. For now I didn't need JS
-
m-relay
<syntheticbird:monero.social> I got curious when I saw your website and tried Astro. It was my first ever JS framework experience, and I don't regret it
-
m-relay
<chch3003:monero.social> Oh nice :)
-
m-relay
<chch3003:monero.social> Yes Astro is great
-
m-relay
<chch3003:monero.social> For now, I worked on pure UI stuff, with hardcoded content. For a good PoC I have to implement some internationalization
-
m-relay
<chch3003:monero.social> I don't know yet how that will go
-
m-relay
<syntheticbird:monero.social> I haven't tried i18n either
-
m-relay
<chch3003:monero.social> Without JS I will have to build the website for each language, with the language in url path
-
m-relay
<syntheticbird:monero.social> That sounds awful
-
m-relay
<chch3003:monero.social> Well it works but it's not how it is done usually
-
m-relay
<chch3003:monero.social> Would be cool to be confident about the English version before translating

<chch3003:monero.social> Also would be cool to be confident about the English version before translating

<chch3003:monero.social> Short story, still a lot of work to be on par with the current websites features

<xmrscott:monero.social> It's still actively maintained. Website itself could use a little polish IMO, but I've dutifully made sure that the stuff under the workgroup has working email, on a hardened server, is spam free (forums used to get ~15 spam posts a day, I've refined the spam detection heuristics to ~4/week), and is up to date, etc. There's quite a few other things I'd like to do under that workgr<clipped message>

<xmrscott:monero.social> oup, but my energy is best put towards more mission critical things restoring localization workflows whenever Core fixes their things
