<redsh4de:matrix.org> Visually very barebones for now, havent ported the Figma design yet, just basic functionality (localization enabled though):

<basses:matrix.org> Diego Salazar thoughts?
-
m-relay
<basses:matrix.org> I think most readers care about the date (whether it is years ago info can be outdated) than authors, so it makes sense to put it first
-
m-relay
<diego:cypherstack.com> I prefer the icon separation, yes

-
m-relay
<diego:cypherstack.com> date or author first doesn't matter
-
m-relay
<diego:cypherstack.com> but the info separated by chunking (i.e. the icons) makes it VERY easy to parse at a glance
-
m-relay
<redsh4de:matrix.org> alright, its gonna be icons then

<basses:matrix.org> u mean these?
-
m-relay
<diego:cypherstack.com> yes
-
m-relay
<basses:matrix.org> it matters, almost all big tech blogs that people care and read include date first for reason..

m-relay
<diego:cypherstack.com> Alrighty

<basses:matrix.org> amazing

m-relay
<basses:matrix.org> make sure to use <time datetime="....">)
-
m-relay
<basses:matrix.org> I kept like searching for a lot of references other than big tech, mozilla products are consistent with date first then author second
blog.thunderbird.net/2025/11/thunderbird-pro-november-2025-update, others add profile then below it date...
-
m-relay
<basses:matrix.org> I asked other people for input too, as monero is community based and it makes sense to emphasis authors.. but it is not an "opinionated articles", it is usually critical info like software updates or technical info about upcoming changes.. so it makes sense to put date at first so readers can have an idea about the relevance of an info written in the blog.

<basses:matrix.org> nope I don't lol.

<redsh4de:matrix.org> rando: how does this look? since the blogs are all in English, im forcing only the content area to always be LTR
-
m-relay
-
m-relay
<basses:matrix.org> you can change "and" to " و "
-
m-relay
<basses:matrix.org> and probably for other locales too
-
m-relay
<basses:matrix.org> their "and" translation
-
m-relay
<redsh4de:matrix.org> good idea
-
m-relay
<basses:matrix.org> I don't think monero will ever do something similar to "guest articles" written in some different locale..
-
m-relay
<basses:matrix.org> so I guess forcing LTR works
-
m-relay
<basses:matrix.org> f-droid blog posts has some articles written in locale of translation completion announcement of f-droid project
-
m-relay
<basses:matrix.org> I can't find the localized blog posts, f-droid website is a mess...
-
m-relay
<basses:matrix.org> but I guess we wouldn't need such setup
