joerg1I installed the Monero Gui on Rockylinux. I found 3 directorys. Monero with capital letter, one directory with a lowercase. The 3rd. is .bitmonero. The directory with the capital letter contains the application. The directory with the lowercase the wallet. .bitmonero contains the blockchain. How do I update to the next release?
-
moneromoooAFAIK just copy the new files over the old ones.
-
moneromoooLeave the chain and wallet(s) alone.
-
joerg1Okay. Thank you.
-
joerg1I think it could be a good idea to write it on the README.md on github.com/monero-project/monero-gui. How to update and hoe to delete the Monero Gui or CLI.
-
joerg1Sorry for my spelling errors.
-
moneromoooSounds like a good idea. Feel free to add the wording you think is appropriate in a PR.
-
joerg1Also here. getmonero.org/downloads
-
joerg1I am not a native speaker. But I will try it.
-
moneromoooThanks, I'm sure someone will tweak it if needed.
-
joerg1I wisch all a nice day. Thanks for the help. Good bye for today.

tx8rHello. Any alternative for downloads.getmonero.org/blockchain.raw file? This link is provide too slow downloading.
-
moneromoooIf you run monerod, it'll download the chain automatically. You do not need this file.
