Does a local node have to totally resyncronize every time I turn my computer on? I keep shutting off my pc before the sync is done, and then it starts all over again

Lendri, no... type exit in the console to exit gracefully and it will save all the data that it has.

IF you just shut off your computer before it syncs it may not have saved to disk and it'll be resyncing from scratch.

Ctrl-C also works if you can't be bothered to type exit

honestly, looking for something to stress-test my overclocked core2duo back in 2014 :)

Deciding to look at Bitcoin at last. Finding out it's not private. Looking for somehting better. Finding references to Dark wallet. Find Darkcoin and not realizing it's a different thing. Working out it's not the same thing at all actually. Finding Monero, and comparing the two. Thinking I had finally found what I had been looking for.

Then, thinking I really should have looked at Bitcoin earlier :D
