Hi All, can you use payment links with the CLI Wallet, or only with the GUI?
-
rbrunner
And you would pass the CLI just the string I guess, so in one swoop you define address and amount? Don't think so. Quite sure it does not read any QR codes.
-
Steven_M
rbrunner: I didn't mean the QR codes, I meant the URLS that start with monero:
-
rbrunner
Yeah, that's also what I meant with "the string": I don't think that the CLI wallet has any parser for that, with a command that accepts such an URL as argument
-
rbrunner
Wouldn't be too difficult however to program. Maybe your first PR? :)
-
Steven_M
PR?
-
rbrunner
Pull request. Your contribution to the Monero codebase. You will become immortal through that.
-
Steven_M
Oh, hehe, unless it's already implemented and I just don't know about it. :)
-
Steven_M
rbrunner: I tested it, I can confirm it works. :-)
-
rbrunner
Which command then?
-
Steven_M
transfer <payment link>
-
rbrunner
Ah, ok, good to know.
-
Steven_M
I have to go now, have a good day/night. :-)
-
rbrunner
Saw it: moneromooo added that 6 years ago already.
-
rbrunner
Thanks, for you as well.
-
Steven_M
"moneromooo added that 6 years ago already" Oh, silly me, *blush*
-
Guest53
Guys i'm very sorry for continually badgering moneromooo and i wont do it again
-
Guest74123
hi
-
Mochi101
hello
-
Guest74123
trying to connect to node behind nat but not possible
-
Guest74123
monerod --ad-peer=ip
-
Guest74123
--add-peer
-
Mochi101
no idea... sorry.. I'm just here keeping the seats warm
-
Guest74123
--rpc-bind-ip 0.0.0.0 --confirm-external-bind
-
Guest74123
didnt help this too
-
Guest74123
node to node
-
Guest74123
both are my nodes
-
selsta
Guest74123: what are you trying to do exactly?
-
selsta
connect two nodes or connect with a wallet to a node?
-
Guest74123
to connect2 nodes
-
selsta
--add-priority-node
-
Guest74123
nothing changed
-
selsta
why do you even want to connect them?
-
Guest74123
because i trust my nodes more than other....
-
selsta
--add-priority-node is the correct flag, if it doesn't work it can't reach the other node
-
Guest74123
i have another node with only 512ram and 1cpu and but monerod crash very often
-
Guest74123
i believe that the reason is ram
-
Guest74123
is any solution on this
-
selsta
get more RAM, at least 1GB
-
Guest74123
there is no command to fix it temporary
-
moneromooo
truncate -s 1G $HOME/swap, mkswap it, mount it ?
-
Mochi101
Emulated RAM!
-
Mochi101
So much cheaper and it doesn't require any tools to install!
-
Guest74123
yes and until now is working
-
Guest74123
magic mooooooo
-
Guest74123
i hope last question
-
Guest74123
why i have every 5 min "Host 127.0.0.1 blocked"
-
Guest74123
i do unban but is annoying
-
selsta
what are you doing to get yourself blocked?
-
selsta
are you connecting with a testnet / stagenet wallet to a mainnet node?
-
Guest74123
no
-
Guest74123
nothing special
-
Guest74123
im doing solo mining
-
Guest74123
but why to be blocked
-
Guest74123
moneromooo any last minute solution
-
selsta
Guest74123: mining on the 512mb ram machine?
-
Guest74123
yes now is 5gb with swap
-
Guest74123
and not crashing
-
Guest74123
thank you again moneromooo
-
selsta
don't mine on that machine...
-
selsta
the fact that you are getting banned clearly shows that your system is too weak to mine
-
Guest74123
where is the code that do this
-
Guest74123
the reason
-
selsta
you beed 2gb, ideally 4gb ram to properly mine randomx
-
selsta
and no, swap is not a replacement for it
-
selsta
what you are doing is nonsense
-
Guest74123
ok
-
selsta
just run a node without mining
-
selsta
if you want to do mining you will need better hardware
