hey folks. does anyone know of any PoS/ATM solution for Monero like LNPoS?
-
ramiroro
-
Mochi101
besides display a qr code, what does it actually do?
-
Mochi101
ramiroro, The GUI wallet has a "Merchant Mode"
-
Mochi101
It needs a bit of work... but
-
ramiroro
generates an invoice programatically
-
ramiroro
but i guess you're right
-
ramiroro
might as well use a computer in merchant mode
-
Mochi101
I think some of the mobile wallets also have merchant modes. At minimum, they have the capability to generate a QR Code.

ramiroro: kasisto is merchant pos software for monero

cornduck
the gui wallet for windows is able to start a daemon, but for whatever reason the daemon does not continue to run for very long
-
cornduck
it takes a really long time to sync with the blockchain. i don't suppose there is a clever way to run the daemon and have it not exit, so that it can finish doing this?
-
cornduck
maybe its supposed to stay running, and is crashing
-
cornduck
i don't see errors or start messages in settings -> log -> daemon log
-
cornduck
changing the log level from 0 to 4 doesn't seem to cause it to produce any more or less messages
-
cornduck
i suppose i get more visibility when i run monerod.exe
-
grumblemobile
It is not supposed to die by itself.
-
cornduck
ah, i am out of disk space. of course
-
cornduck
thanks grumblemobile

-
Guest9161

-
Guest9161
but i have a strange error "scaling_2021.cpp:137: Failure" "Value of: "27900.000000000000"" "Expected: cryptonote::round_money_up("27810", 3)" "Which is: "27900.00""
-
selsta
Guest9161: which exact commit are you running?
-
selsta
and did you change your code?
-
Guest9161
yes i changed code
-
Guest9161
last code on github
-
grumblemobile
Change it back, and it'll work again.
-
Guest9161
hehe
-
Guest9161
is new chain with 4 zeros and not 10 as monero
-
grumblemobile
Well, from the error, the fix seems obvious.
-
grumblemobile
I assume you mean 2 and not 4 (and 12 and not 10 for that matter).
-
Guest9161
yes sorry

NorrinRadd
same opinion i had. it's the government coin
-
NorrinRadd
eventually they'll realize they forfeited every possible use case. what's the use of it if it's completely cucked? who can trust it?
-
nioc
yes but they think that the answer it btc
-
nioc
*is btc
-
Torr
NorrinRadd: States usually don't rely on trust, but on coercion.
-
Torr
If that's the route they take.
