Hello there I have problem using monero-gui wallet.

I installed version 0.18.1.2 from flathub and made a wallet successfully. So even after transferring some coin to the wallet I can't see any change in balance and here is a problem with synchronization.

Checked the wallet on a android app and everything looks OK, balance is there and I can make transactions

check that the node you use is synchronized, and that your wallet is synchronized

Well I don't know what to do, it just said -waiting for deomen to sync- but nothing happening

The deomen might just be taking its time. Especially if you have a spinning disk.

IIRC simple is "use some third party node".

true^ an easy way to remember is "SimPlY use simple mode"

to enter advanced mode click the top left [<- looking thing / orange button to change wallet mode -> advanced. then open your wallet from file -> see settings -> advanced -> node (+) add node , find an ip/port at monero.fail with uptime, and click ok , then make sure to click on it after adding so its highlighed grey then wait

so switch to another node

or switch to advanced mode and sync your own node (but it will take from hours to days)

Oh, if you mean the original miner was shit, then yes that's true. But this didn't allow mining stealthily or the like.

The mining rewards are the only thing that create monero, and these have always been cleartext.

And if some code was leaked that claims to do stealth mining, whatever it is, you can test it:

sync the chain to only some early date, and try that code.

(of course other peers won't accept any block you create with it since another longer chain now exists)
