Is there a reduction in anonymity if I open two wallets within the same monero client? I run Qubes OS where I can have separate virtual machines for each monero wallet that are isolated, but to do so would require me to download the blockchain on both which is tedious and takes up space.

I'm less concerned about the implications on security; that if the single virtual machine gets compromised both wallets are. I'm just looking for your educated opinions on whether sharing a node / app between two wallets in any way creates correlation between the two?

I've never paid anywhere close to a buck for a Monero transaction fee.

Some people pay max fee to encourage the miners.

But it serve no purpose and damage you're privacy (outside observers can see some TX with max fee and do analysis on that to find pattern and try to see if it's the same human)

are txs sent from one wallet to another both on the same node supposed to unlock instantly?

im running 2 wallets connected to the same local stagenet monerod

and when i send a tx from one to another the blocks_to_unlock is always 0 right after sending

this is strange

it takes like a minute for the blocks_to_unlock to get updated

probably needs to be in a block for that field to update
