andrey8ezkaroHello, guys, I wonder, if I will receive all of incoming payments on a single address will it effect on my privacy?
-
moneromoooIf you then create a tx that uses many of them, a bit.
-
moneromoooIt depends on the details, on what you call "privacy" exactly, also what you call "my". It's complicated unfortunately.
-
andrey8ezkaroYes, I will use the these outputs then to send transactions. In this context, I assume that privacy is good enough if the third party, which doesn't know exactly on what address I'm receiving funds, cannot link those transfers
-
andrey8ezkaroI know that even if I use a single address to receive, the new stealth address is generated every time, what do you mean "If you then create a tx that uses many of them, a bit" ?
-
moneromoooI mean "it's complicated". If you are interested, AFAIK it's explained in the "Breaking Monero" video series.
-
moneromoooIt's basically a probabilistic guess, based on the fact that with many millions of outputs existing, hte likelihood of two of yours being in a single tx is fairly small.
-
moneromoooLikelihood of 3, smaller even. etc.
-
moneromoooI use "yours" loosely here.
-
andrey8ezkaroHm, okay, thank you for explenation, I think I need to explore those video series :)
