<ranger_emdin:matrix.org> i mean huge pages tho. PS: i have been mining XMR for 12 hours and have not gotton any xmr yet, am i really not meeting the min payout?

nioCat
At 1300 h/s with network diff of 2.78e+11 and block reward 0.61 you can expect 0.0002 XMR per day.

<ranger_emdin:matrix.org> okok got it thank you :D

<behelit:hackliberty.org> need to see if there would be a way to integrate this with shortwave

ferret
24 hours and the blockchain is at 86% synced lol

ferret
108GB so far, this is next level

:D

moneromooo
Monero isn't special somehow. If you have data transmission over any medium, you can carry monero tx data over it, like you can carry any arbitrary data.
-
moneromooo
You could do that via carrier pigeon if you wanted to.

<5m5z3q888q5prxkg:chat.lightnovel-dungeon.de> is there any thing that i can sent monero to and them sending FIAT to specified bank account? I wanna buy friesssss

<monerobull:matrix.org> pretty sure youd have to actually sign transactions to loose your coins

how much space is everyone allocating for monero. Had to tack on another 100GB lol.
-
m-relay
<123bob123:matrix.org> I just have a 500gb attached
-
ferret
Nice!

Pruned block chain is .. <70GB? If space is an issue, yep 500-1TB is sane

LedgerHQ/connect-kit #29 Cool, just what is needed to build and keep trust
-

might crank it up to 500GB

<k4r4b3y:karapara.net> this is only the beginning

<k4r4b3y:karapara.net> thankfully, 2 tb ssds are becoming easily affordable.

<tidux:matrix.org> unfortunately RAID rebuilds are still expensive, my node is stuck on spinning rust until I can buy 4x SSDs and 2.5"-to-3.5" spacers and arrange hands time for the datacenter to go swap drives one at a time while I fail them out/rebuild my RAID10 array four timesi
-
m-relay
<tidux:matrix.org> before the chain got so big I could stick it in overlayfs in RAM for a nice boost but oh well
-
m-relay
<spackle_xmr:matrix.org> People should be comfortable with significant blockchain growth. Personally, I look forward to Monero having a TB year (assuming genuine use).
-
m-relay
<tidux:matrix.org> at some point that's going to make running nodes on commodity hardware prohibitive though
-
m-relay
<spackle_xmr:matrix.org> For sure, but seeing a 1TB year during a sharp adoption period is easily within the scaling design. Seeing it happen shouldn't concern people if volume spikes up for a while.
-
m-relay
<spackle_xmr:matrix.org> I'm hoping we'll get our hands on a 100TB HAMR HDD within a few years. It wouldn't be fun to sync, but that would keep things going for a long time.
-
m-relay
<spackle_xmr:matrix.org> Though people have been talking about those for a long time now, and 'a few years' is probably not a good way to put it.
-
m-relay
<spackle_xmr:matrix.org> Of course Plan A is to stick with SSDs, and they have been dropping in price quite quickly. All the same, it is nice to have the alternative.

<unkn8wn69:matrix.org> Hey guys I've created a Python CLI tool caller PSST(Polyseed secret sharing tool) that you can use to store your seed more securely! It uses Shamir's Secret Sharing Scheme and is very easy to use.

<unkn8wn69:matrix.org> With this setup you won't have to worry about boating accidents anymore!
