<luckyfindings:matrix.org> what is the benefit of p2pool?
-
m-relay
<ravfx:xmr.mx> It's the only decentralized pool
-
m-relay
<ravfx:xmr.mx> It's the only way to mine monero with a pool while being totally decentalized
-
m-relay
<luckyfindings:matrix.org> would making p2pool the only way to mine monero circumvent the 51% attack?
-
m-relay
<moneronaire:matrix.org> Thankyou for that
-
m-relay
<aremor:matrix.org> No. You’d just become 51% of the total p2pool

<monero77:matrix.org> had a issue of burglary but now i am back with a new pc, back to where i was, can anyone please send me a video link on how to set up my pc for monero mining, gpu NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 3070. Thanks

<martin.monero:matrix.org> monero mining? what is the cost of energy per one monero?
-
nioCat
although you can mine with a GPU it is very inefficient, low HR and high watts. CPU is the way to go
-
m-relay
<monero77:matrix.org> searched XMrig-Nvidia, xmrig says it is deprecated but there is still a 2.14.5 version available on github , the question is do i download the unified miner as suggested by xmrig or go with the latest version available on github
-
nioCat
do you have free electricity? :)
-
nioCat
better to mine something else with your GPU and exchange it for monero
-
nioCat
haven't really looked at the GPU side of xmrig
-
DataHoarder
Monero changed to RandomX. GPU mining is inefficient and slow
-
DataHoarder
use your CPU
-
m-relay
<ctrej:matrix.org> monero is usually mined on CPUs, because GPUs have poor output and much worse efficiency then CPUs
-
m-relay
<martin.monero:matrix.org> so how many kWh is needed per monero?

mexc

not sure of the details as I don't use them, just heard reports recently

<jabster28:matrix.org> does anyone know of a cryptocurrency- or monero-based booru? i've seen a lot of cool posters and other art like those monero bills but i don't really know of a good way to find them aside from searching "monero" on google images

<kjeks:matrix.org> You don't think the government/banks could do that for as long as they want? This is around 20 tps, they can sustain that for years with the average QE

<eugene_the_dev:matrix.org> Hi, I'm having one issue when using private testnet. I have 10290000000000 piconero unlocked balance in the wallet and when I want to send 980000000000 and 9304000000004 in one transfer I get "not enough money". Despite I leave 5999999996 piconero (which should cover 2 fees) Im keep getting "not enough money"
-
m-relay
<eugene_the_dev:matrix.org> I checked and I had to leave 100 times the transaction fee to have transaction created. This is my data to rpc wallet

what would be the best way to make an anonymous transaction from one network (say Sui) to another network (say BNB) using XMR?

where / how would I swap each leg to/from XMR without a CEX? and to break up the trace would I need to transfer the XMR onchain to break up any relationship between source and destination wallets?

-
m-relay
<5m5z3q888q5prxkg:chat.lightnovel-dungeon.de> XMR is anonymous as long as you don't expose your identity to the place where you use XMR

I did not watch it, but because my threat model is lower than the floor lol. The only things I used it for were a domain (which I advertise openly) and a VPS (to which I connect daily from my home).
