Anyone see an issue with this xmrig config? I've been mining for days now and have over 8500 accepted results, but nothing is being deposited into the wallet.

<neromonero1024:monero.social> are you sure you have your XMR address included in the "pools" section? or did you remove it for privacy reasons?

removed for priv reasons, but yeah, it's there.

Maybe my wallet just isn't updating. Is there a monero block explorer? My initial assumption is no, cuz privacy.

<preland:monero.social> Qubes is easy if you don’t care about actually running it securely <- I heard the problem is that it is also not compatible with all hardware. Never bothered to look into it closely because it is way outside my threat model though.
-
m-relay
<nihilist:m.datura.network> The main point of qubes is segmenting every computer usage into VMs
-
m-relay
<nihilist:m.datura.network> That concept can be replicated on other hardware too and other hypervisors
-
BlueyHealer
Ye, I just won't benefit that much in my daily life from this. I have a "dirty" vm for checking files I don't fully trust, used to have a VM for i2p, and think it's enough.

-
m-relay
<preland:monero.social> It does have some hardware compatibility issues
-
m-relay
<preland:monero.social> It’s a little strict for my threat model personally, but I do like the concept of it. Plus, while not the best option for this use case, it helps to be able to have multiple platforms running in parallel for dev work, as well as not having to care about ruining your base system when messing with dependencies.
-
m-relay
<preland:monero.social> The two features in Qubes I am looking forward to in the future is gpu acceleration and nested virtualization. When those are added, Qubes will be able to trivially run games, and will be able to run KVM and other virtualization programs inside of Qubes
-
BlueyHealer
I like the concept and I enjoy hearing and reading about it sometimes, just personally see no use for it.

<preland:monero.social> It sounds like they want to get gpu accel working, no eta on when that happens
-
m-relay
<preland:monero.social> And you can actually play games if you have an extra GPU to passthrough to a VM
-
m-relay
<preland:monero.social> I can’t do that because I only have an iGPU though
-
m-relay
<preland:monero.social> Ofc anticheat may take offense to you running the game in a VM though
-
BlueyHealer
Can you play with an integrated GPU? Not in Qubes, but un a regular Linux ran via KVM. I just thought of setting up a dedicated VM for pirated games.
-
BlueyHealer
I don't think the executables were malicious, but still would rather isolate them for good practice.
-
m-relay
<preland:monero.social> Yeah that’s what I’m looking forward to
-
m-relay
<preland:monero.social> And you can do it with an integrated GPU (depending on the CPU, it may not be possible though)
