devilchaoshi id like a little help please? im trying to run my own node which i believe i have up and running with port forwarding sorted from my router to the node 18080 18089 i would like to know how to connect to the node with feather wallet and have read that i use custom node setting with ipaddress:18080 for the connection but it doesnt seem to want to connect, i also have port passthrough on the firewall on the node aswell
-
sech118081, not 18080
-
Lyzasounds like they have RPC on 18089, but yeah 18080 if for other nodes to connect to you, it's not for wallets to connect to
-

devilchaosLyza: & sech1 thanks but i thought that was the whole point of running your own node was to be able to connect your wallet to your own node for extra privacy and plus to contrib to the network
-
sech1yes, you can connect your wallet to it. Try port 18081 or 18089
-
Lyzait is, you're just doing it on the wrong port
-
sech1these are RPC ports
-
sech118080 is peer to peer port for nodes to connect to each other
-
Lyza^^

-
