m-relay<rafaelrsanches:monero.social> Do we have a Monero PT-BR IRC?
-
testone◆afaelrsanches: there's a #monero-pt in Libera.Chat, if it's equally good
-
m-relay<x3cc:nope.chat> Why do I have to use a trusted node to rescan wallet balance?
-
m-relay<x3cc:nope.chat> And can I mess something up while creating view-only file from regular wallet file? (Wallet address and view key from cli)
-
m-relay<x3cc:nope.chat> Okay I understand the issue I think, I never opened original wallet file and when I opened it now it started syncing from todays height and skipped everything before, while view only wallet has been syncing because it was opened before and it’s start height has been set
-
m-relay<x3cc:nope.chat> But how do I refresh balance now? Is there a way to set height to scan manually or I need to recreate from seed + height?
-
m-relay<x3cc:nope.chat> Srry for my bed england
-
m-relay<ofrnxmr:monero.social> To rescan spent*
-
m-relay<ofrnxmr:monero.social> Because scan _spent_ exposes your owned outputs to the node
-
m-relay<ofrnxmr:monero.social> No
-
m-relay<ofrnxmr:monero.social> What wallet software are you using?
-
m-relay<ofrnxmr:monero.social> You an manually set the height in a few wallets. Restoring from seed + restore height will achieve the same result
-
m-relay<x3cc:nope.chat> Oh I see thank you for clarifying
-
m-relay<x3cc:nope.chat> Yes I viewed seed in monero gui (not the newest version but I will update soon) and was able recover wallet with actual balance showing, thanks for support🙏
-
m-relay<ofrnxmr:xmr.mx> for next time, in GUI its: `settings -> info -> wallet restore height`.
-
m-relay<x3cc:nope.chat> Oh yea now I see, it’s even simpler! Nice
